Meet the Diva behind the Decor

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Kara. I’m a wife, boy mom and teacher. I love all things girly, a good psychological thriller book and comfy pj’s after a steaming hot shower. I’d choose staying in on my couch versus going out any day of the week. I’m also a lover of all things home decor, organization and inspiring people to create a home and space they love.

I’ve always had a passion for home design and organization. Even at a young age I enjoyed rearranging my bedroom and finding new ways to make my space feel fresh and new. When I eventually had an entire house to work with, aimlessly wandering the isles of Marshall’s, HomeGoods and TJ Maxx looking for decor and organizational pieces was as fun for me as a kid going to Disney world. Fun fact: I love me a good bargain or dupe- we’re working with a teacher salary here. Hence my favorite stores being the ones listed above.

When my husband and I bought our second home, it was a complete gut job and needed renovations from the inside out. He let me take the reins completely when designing and styling our home and it was so amazing seeing our visions come to life. Letting my creative juices flow and really getting into my element was truly what my soul needed.

I started sharing our journey online and received tons of positive feedback from friends and family, which was so appreciated. I decided to create a space here where I can share all of the things to help you when you’re stuck in the “I have no idea where to even begin" rut. Whether it's styling with pieces you already have in your home, suggestions for new decor pieces or ideas on how to declutter and organize a space, my goal is to help you create a home that feels both functional and beautiful.

I'm just a regular mom with a genuine passion for helping others feel confident in their spaces. My hope is to make the decorating and organization process feel less overwhelming and a little more enjoyable.
